Nutridatabase

Czech Food Composition Database 


The Nutridatabase is part of the information services of the Antonín Švehla Library operated by the ÚZEI. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture in close cooperation with the international network for food composition databases - European Food Information Resource (EuroFIR - www.eurofir.eu). The creation of the database includes its management and updating, i.e. data collection, documentation and accessibility.

The Food Composition Database provides information on the nutritional composition of foods, i.e. the content of energy, major nutrients, vitamins, minerals and other substances. It is being built at national level and used by a wide range of users from researchers, nutritionists, food manufacturers, authorities to the end consumers.
