The principal focus of this research is the sociological examination of the behavior, culture, and value systems of the agricultural population in the Czech Republic, framed through P. Bourdieu’s concept of habitus, in the context of ongoing climate change. The study integrates climatological analysis, geographical assessment of environmental indicators at the national scale utilizing spatial LPIS data, and empirical investigations of Czech farmers through a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The primary objective is to elucidate the ways in which climate-related risks reconfigure agricultural practices—specifically, how structural determinants influence farmers’ decision-making processes and how individually accumulated experiences with climate change manifestations may induce transformations in collectively shared dispositions that constitute the habitus of agricultural actors. A partial outcome of the project is the construction of a typology of farms based on habitus and capital configurations.
